We are pleased to announce the release of a new version, 4.2.2, of the ogamma Visual Logger for OPC.
The most important changes are:
- Added new feature: support for High Availability, to facilitate smooth data flow with no interruptions. Two instance nodes of the application can run in parallel, one in Active mode and the second in Standby mode. If the active node fails, then the second node takes over data collection and logging and becomes Active, so logging of data continues. This feature can also be useful to perform planned upgrades and maintenance of the software, OS, and hardware without interruption of the data flow.
The YouTube video about this new feature is available below.
- Windows distribution package now has a second form – an installer, packaged as an executable, which installs the ogamma Visual Logger for OPC as well as the new High Availability Node Manager as Windows services.
- Performance of forwarding data to Confluent / Apache Kafka significantly improved.
The full list of changes is described in the Release Notes document available at https://onewayautomation.com/1WA/ReleaseNotes.html
